“AzerGold” CJSC runs a tree-planting campaign on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP)

“AzerGold” Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) ran the second tree-planting campaign in the territory of Chovdar Ore Processing Area located in Dashkasan district on November 20. The event was held to support the initiative of “Let’s each plant a tree” campaign conducted regarding the 25th anniversary of the New Azerbaijan Party. More than 200 trees were planted during the campaign where participated about 100 employees of the Company. The main purpose of the event is to contribute in environmental enhancement by joining the  large-scale planting works performed all over the republic.

It should be mentioned that in total, more than 6 thousand trees and shrubs have been planted in the territory of more than 10 ha within the scope of tree-planting events held in Chovdar Ore Processing Area during a year.

Corporate social responsibility, environmental protection, supporting local residents are one of the main areas of the Company’s activity. In this regard, more than 3000 hay bales, also 90 m3 logging debris were collected during voluntary work performed on days off within the last month in the area where gold mine is located. Afterwards they were donated to villagers for use in cattle-breeding and agriculture, and schools located in nearby areas.

“AzerGold” CJSC has been extracting gold and silver in Chovdar Ore Processing Area since the beginning of the current year. 90% of 157 employess working at the mine, as well as the great majority of about 500 employees working in contractor and subcontractor companies involved by the Company for organization of the mine opeartions represent Dashkasan and nearby districts.
