“AzerGold” CJSC carries out its first export of gold and silver

“AzerGold” Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) has carried out its first export of gold and silver bullions. 16.1 thousand ounces of gold and 23.7 thousand ounces of silver produced in Azerbaijan and refined by the worldwide renowned Swiss company “Argor-Heraeus SA” have been brought out to international stock market.
It is the largest export of precious metals from Azerbaijan which has been made so far. The state-owned company is expecting its profit to reach approximately 20 million US Dollars as a result of the sales.
“AzerGold” CJSC is planning to sell in total 160 thousand ounces (70 thousand ounces of gold, 90 thousand ounces of silver) of precious metal by the end of the year. It means that the Company will contribute to national economy with foreign currency resources valued at 85 million US Dollars by considering the current metal prices in the world market.
