The Winners of the ‘Miner of the Future’ Project Have Been Determined

The winners of the ‘Miner of the Future’ project announced by AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) as part of staff training and social responsibility activity have been determined.

Thus, 10 students who succeeded in the exam and essay writing competition, arranged among the 10th-grade schoolchildren studying at secondary schools Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 of the Dashkasan region, as well as the Gushchu and Bayan villages, were declared winners. Those students were involved in the preparatory course for higher education institutions with the support of the CJSC, and the Company would cover 20-month preparatory fees for each of them.

As part of the project, a familiarization visit of the winners to the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area was arranged. First, the students were briefed on the occupational safety rules and provided with special clothing sets. Then, they were provided with detailed information on the extraction and processing of precious metals and implemented production technologies.

It should be noted that the key objective of the Miner of the Future project is to encourage students of the Dashkasan region, where AzerGold CJSC performs its mining and production activity, to pass preparatory courses and enroll in higher education institutions in the field of mining. Supporting the higher education of Dashkasan schoolchildren in mining engineering, metallurgy, and geology, the Joint-Stock Company strives to meet the Company's demand for professional staff from the mining region residents, thereby expanding employment in the region and contributing to the development of young people as educated specialists.
