Meeting with local entrepreneurs in Dashkasan

AzerGold CJSC organized a meeting with legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in Dashkasan region.

The meeting was organized at Dashkasan Region Executive Power and attended by Vugar Mammadov, Deputy Head of the Regional Executive Power, Aminagha Dadashov, Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management Department of AzerGold CJSC, representatives of Ganja-Dashkasan Regional Branch of the State Employment Agency, officials from Small and Medium Business Development Agency, as well as local entrepreneurs.

The meeting was aimed at encouraging the participation of local entrepreneurs in procurement competitions organized by AzerGold CJSC, which realizes mining operations in Dashkasan region, based on the requirements of national legislation and progressive international practice.

The entrepreneurs were provided with detailed information about the Procurement Rules applied by AzerGold, about application and participation procedures, and all the participants of the event were informed about the participation planning, qualification criteria, contract performance, procurement documents, submission and evaluation of bids, its results and control mechanisms.

The meeting highlighted consistent measures taken under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev, to develop entrepreneurship in our country, and that consequently a wide range of opportunities have been enabled for entrepreneurs by legislative upgrades, reduced administrative procedures and tax incentives. The micro, small, medium and large business entities should take an active part in procurement processes to benefit from these opportunities, to increase employment and economic activity in the regions, and to make sustainable contributions to the economic development of the region.

The meeting was followed by an exchange of views with entrepreneurs and a Q&A session.
