The Shorbulag gold and polymetallic occurrence field is located in the basin of the Levchay River – the left tributary of the Tartarchay River – in Kalbajar region. Discovered in 1958, the occurrence field promises gold, chromium and mercury metals.
The investigations in this area were started in 2024, and currently exploration and evaluation works are ongoing in about 3 438 ha areas, freed from landmines.
