CIRPA

CIRPA – Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area is located near Chovdar village of Dashkasan region. It was established in 2020 at Chovdar Ore Processing Area. The main goal is to maintain centralized processing of precious metal ores produced from the Chovdar gold mine and nearby Aghyokhush deposit, Marah and Tulallar gold deposits.

To ensure maximum efficiency at CIRPA, Heap Leach Pad (HPL) technology is applied for processing of low-grade oxide and transition ores, and Carbon in Leach (CIL) technology is applied for medium- and high-grade oxide, sulphide and transition ores.

Heap Leach Pad (HPL) technology

Precious metal ores are processed with HLP technology in the oxide phase of the Chovdar gold deposit, which has been operated by AzerGold CJSC since 2017. This technology allows to obtain up to 75 percent of gold depending on the mineralogical composition and metallurgical properties of the ores. The Plant has an annual ore grinding capacity of 1.4 million. And the average processing period is 90 days.

Carbon in Leach (CIL) technology

The CIL Plant at CIRPA was put into full operation in 2024. The Plant provided efficient processing of ores in the sulphide phase of the Chovdar gold mine. This technology allows to obtain up to 90 percent of gold depending on the mineralogical composition and metallurgical properties of the ores. The Plant has an annual ore grinding capacity of 1.1 million. And the average processing period is 48 hours.
