The Marah gold deposit is located north of the Chovdar deposit, in the territory of Goygol region. The deposit was discovered on 22 January 2018 by the geologists of AzerGold CJSC. On 22 July 2021, it was put into operation with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev, who visited the CIRPA. The processing of ores extracted from this deposit is realized at CIRPA, which enables the reduction of investment and operating costs, and increasing the economic efficiency of the project. The marketable gold reserve of the deposit is 37 414 ounces.
