AzerGold CJSC Has Presented a Gold Coin Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev

On November 17, 2023, AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company (СJSC) presented the ‘100 Years and a Legacy Beyond That’ gold coin minted on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Before the event, AzerGold CJSC’s management visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, paid respects to his dear memory, and laid a wreath in front of the monument.

The presentation ceremony, arranged at the Heydar Aliyev Center, was attended by the state and government representatives, MPs, foreign ambassadors, cultural figures, and executives of NGOs and mass media.

In his introductory speech at the ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov spoke about the founder of the modern Republic of Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s unparalleled services to our state and people and the policy implemented in the field of the all-round development of our country under the leadership of his worthy successor, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, and said that the new product is an expression of deep respect and reverence for the dear memory of the Great Leader.

Z. Ibrahimov brought to the attention of the event participants that the jubilee coin dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, a genius who devoted his whole life to Azerbaijan, its independence, and sustainable development, and won eternity in the hearts of our people, is distinguished by its uniqueness.

Z. Ibrahimov said that the 999.9-carat gold coin with an elegant design and fine patterns differs from the precious products produced by CJSC before and noted that the jubilee coin was minted based on the Smartminting technology, which is considered a revolutionary innovation in the field of modern numismatics. This technology allows for precisely depicting unusual, complex design elements on the coin and giving a 3D relief to the valuable product.

The Head of the International Relations Department of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Soltan Mammadov noted that the gold coin minted by AzerGold CJSC in 2023, which was declared the Year of Heydar Aliyev by the appropriate decree of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, left its mark on history with golden letters and was an important contribution to the promotion of the rich spiritual heritage of the National Leader.

1 Oz jubilee coin was minted in a limited number of 200 pieces. The National Leader’s portrait and phrase, "I have always been proud, and I am still proud today to be Azerbaijani!" are depicted on the gold coin as a real sound wave and in Morse code.
