AzerGold CJSC’s Geologists Held Master Classes for the BSU Students

AzerGold CJSC’s geologists held master classes for the students of the Baku State University’s (BSU) Faculty of Geology.

At the event arranged to familiarize students with new trends in geology and mineral exploration, as well as modern metallurgical research methods, and enrich their theoretical knowledge with new information, Advisor to the Joint-Stock Company, PhD in Geological-Mineralogical Sciences, Shahbaddin Musayev delivered a lecture on ‘The Overview of Metallurgical Methods Applied in the Exploitation of Precious and Non-Ferrous Metal Ore Deposits in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He informed students of geological explorations aimed to discover ore deposits, assess their resource, include them in exploitation, and increase the resource potential of operating mines, and noted that metallurgical tests are performed to determine the optimal processing and beneficiation methodology for each deposit.

Then, Deputy Head of the CJSC’s Geological Exploration Department, Narmina Asadova, made a presentation on ‘The Importance of Management in Geology and Geological Project Management Principles.’ She spoke about important factors such as proper planning during project implementation, effective resource management, risk assessment, teamwork, and communication.

The event continued with a question-and-answer session and extensive discussions on the topic.

Recall that the legal framework of cooperation between AzerGold CJSC and BSU is established by the Cooperation Protocol signed between the parties in 2019.

According to the document, master classes are arranged according to the annual joint activity plans prepared to expand the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of university students in the respective specialties, and required conditions are created for their work experience internship.
