Ministry of Labour and Social Protection awards AzerGold

AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) received A Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection on the occasion of April 28 - World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

The letter of appreciation was presented to the Company for its effective work in the field of health, occupational safety, and environmental protection. Orkhan Novruzov, a member of the Executive Board - Advisor to the Chairman, accepted the award on behalf of the Company.

AzerGold CJSC carries out regular actions in the field of occupational health and safety. In accordance with the requirements of the state legislation, Company has created safe working conditions for employees, as well as contractors and subcontractors in order to prevent accidents in the process of exploitation. Besides, special control is exercised over the compliance with applicable rules. The number of working hours without injuries has exceeded 2 million during Company’s 5 year-operation, which is a proof of the achievements towards ensuring sustainable and safe working conditions in the projects sites, as well as other related areas.

Remarkably, April 28, World Day for Safety and Health at Work was established by the decision of the International Labour Organization in 2003. The purpose of its annual celebration in our country and around the world is to draw public attention to the protection of labour in the workplace, the provision of healthy and safe working conditions for workers.
