AzerGold CJSC attended the Conference on Human Health and Global Climate Change

AzerGold CJSC attended the Conference on Human Health and Global Climate Change: Sustainable Solutions and Innovative Efforts in Reducing the Impacts, hosted by ADA University.

The Conference was supported by the Regional Development Public Union, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Agriculture, State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, AzerGold CJSC, Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation, ADA University and other institutions and organizations.

Detailed information about the conference was provided at the opening ceremony and the main goals were highlighted, which include making schoolchildren aware of the impacts of climate change, encouraging them in innovative endeavours and solutions for the problem and for a healthy future.

Following the ceremony, the winning teams of the all-republic competition among schoolchildren on The Impacts of Global Climate Change on Children’s Health were awarded. Among the 53 projects submitted to the competition, five school teams were awarded. Those five teams have presented the most creative and innovative approach to solving the problem and were selected by the Organizing Committee.

Later on, panel discussions were continued on different topics, including Innovative Solutions in the Protection of Sustainable Agriculture and Food Safety, New Challenges in Providing the Sustainability of Biodiversity and Ecosystem, and so on. The experts at the conference answered all the questions asked by the schoolchildren.

To promote the ongoing project, it is expected to organize educational sessions and training in secondary schools of the capital Baku and in the regions of Azerbaijan with the participation of experts and selected Climate Kids Ambassadors, and to realize different environmental campaigns with the participation of schoolchildren.
