Zakir Ibrahimov Took Part in a Charity Party Arranged to Support the Activity of the Ganja Autism Center

On April 26, a Charity Party, arranged by Together and Healthy Public Union with the support of Khazar Media Center, was held in Ganja to ensure the sustainability of the regional Autism Center's activities.

The ceremony, held as part of the World Autism Awareness Month, was attended by state and government officials, heads of state and private companies, and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

Speaking at the Charity Party, the Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC as one of the main supporters of the Ganja Autism Center project, Zakir Ibrahimov noted that the Azerbaijani state, continuing its sustainable and dynamic development and strengthening international relations under the leadership of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, successfully implements state programs in the field of socioeconomic development. The Chairman of the Board stressed that AzerGold CJSC as one of the leading state-owned companies in the non-oil sector contributes to the policy pursued by our state, aimed at ensuring sustainable development goals in the Ganja-Dashkasan economic region, with its active mining operations. In this regard, Z. Ibrahimov recalled putting the regional Autism Center in Ganja into operation at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative with the support of AzerGold CJSC as part of the Heydar Aliyev Year in 2023.

Speaking at the event, the Head of the International Relations Department of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Sultan Mammadov, the Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, Zakir Ibrahimov, the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs, Bahar Muradova, Director of Khazar Media Center, Murad Dadashov, the Chairperson of the Together and Healthy Public Union, Aytan Eynalova, and the Chairperson of the Parents' Council Natavan Mammadova spoke about the work done to create and develop an inclusive society in our country and stressed that currently, active participation of our citizens, especially the most sensitive categories, in the social environment is ensured, and our state is taking measures required for their individual development.

It was noted that First Vice President, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva pays constant attention to our citizens in need of special care, and significant projects are being implemented in the country to meet their education, health, and other social needs. In this regard, it was mentioned that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation supports Together and Healthy Public Union’s activity in the field of individual development of people with autism spectrum disorders in our country.

It was added that to date, more than 100 autistic children have been involved in resource and recovery support in the Ganja Autism Center on a full-time basis free of charge. It was noted that the Charity Party was arranged to promote the Ganja Autism Center’s activity and support donor companies and organizations attaching importance to corporate social responsibility principles. It was reported that the donations collected during the event would be used to support the individual development of more than 100 autistic children waiting for support in Ganja and surrounding regions.

Then, a video on Together and Healthy Public Union’s activity was demonstrated to the guests. At the event, guests also got acquainted with an exhibition and sale fair of paintings and handicrafts made by autistic children. The Charity Party continued with a concert program accompanied by colorful performances of cultural figures and artists.
