AzerGold receives the representatives of “Eti Bakır”

AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) hosted a meeting with the representatives of Eti Bakir JSC, a subsidiary of Cengiz Holding, one of the largest private companies in Turkey. The parties noted the high level of friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries, the availability of great opportunities for expanding cooperation in the economic sphere, especially in the mining sector.

Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairmain of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC, provided detailed information on the activities of AzerGold, spoke about the ongoing projects towards the development of the mining sector. The Chairman said that AzerGold plans to put into operation 6 more gold deposits, including 1 polymetallic and 4 copper deposits, and launch the sulfide phase of the Chovdar gold deposit in 2021-2027.

While, Seref Cengiz, the chairman of the Executive Board of Eti Bakir, informed the Azerbaijani side about the company, spoke about its leading positions in the Turkish market.

Then, Sheref Cengiz, the Chairman of the Board of "Eti Bakir", gave detailed information about the company, spoke about its leading position in the copper and metallurgical industries in Turkey, as well as the region. He noted that the agreement on cooperation signed between the Azerbaijani government and Eti Bakir JSC within the Turkish-Azerbaijani Business Forum in Ankara last month will make an important contribution to the partnership in the mining sector. The visitor expressed readiness to support the development of copper deposits and the development of the metallurgical industry.

Proudly reminding about glorious victory of our Army under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Zakir Ibrahimov noted that Karabakh region has great economic potential, and the available resources open wide opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the mining sector. The Chairman also announced that AzerGold CJSC, as a state-owned company, is always ready to support Turkish companies in this field.

The sides exchanged views on the study of advanced technologies applied in the mining industry, geological exploration, methodologies for the assessment of the resources in accordance with international standards and other issues. In the end, it was agreed to organize mutual visits of technical staff within the exchange of experience.
