Speaking at the event, member and Deputy Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, Khayyam Farzaliyev noted that the massacre of peaceful Azerbaijanis in Khojaly 32 years ago was one of the heaviest crimes committed against humanity. Khayyam Farzaliyev said that this vandalism, reflecting the true essence of Armenian nationalism, will never be forgotten.

Khayyam Farzaliyev said that Armenia's terrorist policy is aimed at undermining the people of Azerbaijan and preventing them from fighting for sovereignty and territorial integrity and noted that 28 years after the Khojaly tragedy, our glorious army gave a worthy response to the enemy on the battlefield, and many Khojaly executioners were caught and brought to justice. Deputy Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC reminded with great pride that over the current year, the Khojaly people would return to their native land and noted that under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the tragedy victims were avenged with great heroism.

Then, the director of the Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theater, Honored Artist Elman Rafiyev spoke about the performance ‘Khojali Bu Olub’ (This Was Khojaly), narrating the genocide against the peaceful Azerbaijani population in pantomime theater aesthetics, and its messages. It was noted that the tragedy experienced on that terrible night was conveyed by professional actors to the foreign audience, especially at the international level, with body language.

In the end, the theater collective presented the ‘Khojali Bu Olub’ play written and staged by People's Artist Bakhtiyar Khanizada, stage designer Sanubar Samadova, and composer, Honored Artist Bahruz Ahmadli. The performance with impressive scenes depicting the events of the night of February 26, ended with a minute of silence by the actors and the audience for the memory of the genocide victims.
