Decree on improving management of non-ferrous mineral deposits utilization

On December 23, 2024, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, issued a Decree on improving management of non-ferrous mineral deposits utilization in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the Decree, AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (herein after the Company), by involving international consulting companies, must analyze the current situation in non-ferrous mineral deposit exploitation, investigate the relevant market, and depending on the results of the analyses, prepare its proposals within four months for improving management of this sphere and submit them to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, considering the international standards, the Company must prepare proposals within six months for improving national standards in the study, research, exploration, development and exploitation of non-ferrous mineral deposits and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and take appropriate measures to resolve other issues arising from the Decree.

The Cabinet of Ministers must resolve issues arising from the Decree.
