MEDIA and AzerGold CJSC start a joint project

“Creative Media – Baku” Content Competition is restarted by the co-organization of the Media Development Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (MEDIA) and AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company.

The competition is organized within the MEDIAlab Project for students studying journalism and communication and for those who are interested in this sphere.

The purpose of the competition is to help students:

• to develop new ideas based on modern media challenges,

• to improve creative thinking and specialization,

• to maintain a favourable environment for the development of content creation skills,

• and to improve teamwork skills.

 

Students at higher educational institutions can apply as teams consisting of three people.

Teams must submit:

• A designed 2-page online newspaper sample containing 7.000 to 10.000 characters, or

• a reportage of maximum 5 minutes.

 

The team members submitting an online newspaper sample should include an editor-reporter, designer and proofreader, and a reportage submitting team should include an editor-reporter, cameraman and film-editor.

 The subject of the newspaper material or reportage should include one of the followings:

• Environmental initiatives: “Green thinking”,

• Green energy transition in local and global context,

• Mining industry and social responsibility,

• Solidarity for Sustainable Development Goals.

Evaluation criteria:

• creative, original and educational approach,

• successful use of digital tools, modern layout and design,

• compliance with the principles of journalism,

• and plagiarism or unprocessed information (copy and paste).

 

Each criteria brings maximum ten points.

 

Each category team (online newspaper sample or reportage) will be evaluated separately. At the end, a total of six teams will be chosen as the winners (three teams for each category) and awarded with certificates and different presents.

The competition can be applied by the electronic registration form via the link.

The link (via WeTransfer, SendGB, etc.) for the PDF version of the online newspaper or the reportage must be attached in the registration form.
