“Internal Control: Myths and Realities” Workshop was held at the Headquarters of "AzerGold" CJSC

A workshop named “Internal Control: Myths and Realities” was organized for all staff of “AzerGold” CJSC at the assembly hall of the headquarters of the Company by Internal Control Department on April 21, 2017.

At the beginning of the workshop, attendees were informed about the history, rights/duties and structure of the Internal Control Department of “AzerGold” CJSC, Risk Map and Annual Action Plan for 2017 prepared by the department, the activities for the first quarter of the current year. Later on, the attendees were notified of the myths and realities associated with Internal Control Department, an appropriate methodology applied in the Company, and the structure, content of and process of responding to reports prepared based on the abovementioned methodology. Case studies regarding the concept of risk and internal control were discussed interactively with the attendees, relevant questions answered in general.

At the end of the event, the attendees were asked for their initial opinions about relevancy and coverage of the subjects discussed in a feedback survey format. The results of the survey conducted among the attendees have brought forward the great need for holding such kind of workshops, ascertained the necessity of further development of atmosphere of mutual credence and trust between the internal control specialists and other employees of the Company in the future.

It is planned to host such kind of events in the future for the purpose of proper organization of relevant educational and promotional activities in the Company. We hope our employees are vigorously involved at the next events as well, like they were in the first one.
