An Environmental Campaign Was Held to Protect Biodiversity in Dashkasan

  "AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) has held an environmental campaign to protect biodiversity in the Dashkasan region.

During the campaign arranged as part of the Green World Solidarity Year, the CJSC’s employees installed eco-friendly bird feeders in the forest area around the Chovdar gold mine, meeting their needs for seasonal feed. The goal is to support the feeding and protection of birds struggling with finding food in winter, especially due to snow cover.

It should be noted that preventing the loss of biodiversity was among the major topics of the UN Biodiversity Summit held in December 2022. In this sense, the aforementioned campaign is the next contribution of the Joint-Stock Company to the environmental policy implemented at the state level in Azerbaijan and aimed at protecting the rich flora and fauna of our country.

It should be noted that AzerGold CJSC contributes to economic development with its mining activity as one of the key state exporters that hold leading positions in the non-oil sector of our country while constantly keeping in mind the goals of sustainable development in the areas of its responsibility and providing consistent and systematical support for the environmental protection. The Joint-Stock Company plans to continue acting in this direction this year by arranging tree-planting, greening, and riverbank cleaning campaigns in the production areas.
