AzerGold’s Supervisory Board held its first meeting for 2021

AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company’s (AzerGold CJSC) Supervisory Board which was re-established in accordance with the decree by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan had its first meeting for 2021.

The meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rovshan Najaf was held in a video format and attended by the members of the Supervisory Board, Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold Zakir Ibrahimov and other members of the Executive Board.

First of all, the Chairman and members of the Supervisory Board of AzerGold thanked to the President for the confidence.

Rovshan Najaf pointed out that AzerGold has achieved significant success in the mining sector during its short period of operation and become one of the leading exporters in the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan. At present, the public company is stepping into a new stage of development. The Supervisory Board will endeavour towards increasing the efficiency of the Company's activities within the framework of best practices and modern management requirements, improving its management taking into account modern corporate governance standards. In view of this, the Supervisory Board will work in cooperation with the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC.

The meeting discussed measures to be taken to ensure the proper implementation of the duties arising from relevant decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the principles of AzerGold's corporate governance system, organization of the Supervisory Board, the role of Azerbaijan Investment Holding in the company's management and other issues.
