Chairman of the Board of AzerGold Has Met with the 3rd Yukselish Competition Winner

Chairman of the Board of AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) Zakir Ibrahimov received one of the winners of the Mentorship Program Project implemented as part of the 3rd Yukselish (Ascent) competition, Vugar Mammadov.

Congratulating the Mentoring Program participant as one of the winners of the 3rd Yukselish competition, Zakir Ibrahimov said that his involvement in practical activity will create a foundation for the development of his potential and provide him with the support required to improve his professional qualities, knowledge, and skills, and expand management experience. As one of the managing mentors of the Project, the Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC stressed that he will closely cooperate with the competition winner under a 1-year personal development plan, share his experience with him, and thus help him to reveal his potential.

At the meeting, Z. Ibrahimov informed the competition winner of AzerGold CJSC’s activity and projects implemented in the field of developing the mining sector of our country, touched on the special and complex points of that field, and talked about geological, metallurgical, mining, and other aspects.

Recalling that earlier, he cooperated with the winners of the 1st and 2nd Yukselish competitions Nazim Novruzov and Ali Ahmadov as part of the Mentorship Program, Z. Ibrahimov noted quite productive relations established with them. It was also noted that according to the policy of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev in the field of promoting youth talented in management, one of the competition winners, Ali Ahmadov was appointed advisor at AzerGold CJSC, and Ilyas Ismayilli was appointed the Deputy Head of the Strategic Planning and Project Management Department.

At the meeting, the competition winner Vugar Mammadov expressed his gratitude for the sincere reception and conditions created for his self-development, benefiting from the personal experience of the Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC under the Mentorship Program of the 3rd Yukselish competition. He said that he would try to benefit from the recommendations of the managing mentor during the program.

It should be noted that the Yukselish competition was launched by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated July 26, 2019. The competition covers citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan aged 21-51, with a higher education and two years of management experience. The competition comprises 5 stages – registration, online selection, interview, semi-final, and final. The competition winners receive a one-year personal development plan and a self-development grant of AZN 20,000 each from the management mentors (https://yukselish.az/mentors.html).

It should be noted that on December 25, 2023, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a Decree on holding the 4th Yukselis competition.
