Azergold’s geologists visit 74th Geological Congress of Turkey

With the support of “AzerGold” CJSC, the young geologists of the Company and its subsidiary Dashkasan Iron Ore LLC joined the 74th Geological Congress of Turkey.

The staff of geological department of AzerGold Nabat Gojayeva, Samir Verdiyev, Shamil Zabitov as well as the geologists of Dashkasan Iron Ore LLC Roya Aliyev, Joshgun Ismayil successfully represented our country in the Congress held in Ankara under the sponsorship of “Maden Tetkik Arama”. The attendees made presentations on the topics, such as “Geological and mineralogical properties of recently-explored Aghyokhush field”, “Geochemistry and mineralization of ore deposists in Filizchay polymetallic field”, “Mineralization structure in Goydagh deposit”, “South-east mineralization of Dashkasan iron ore deposists”, “Fluid influx of Gadabay gold-silver-copper deposit”. The presentations made by the staff will be published in the science magazine.

The presentations by geologists, as well as mine maps and 3D models were watched with interest by the jury and participants. In the Q&A session the young researchers answered the questions of specialists about AzerGold’s activity and its ongoing projects. The participants exchanged views with the representatives of various mining companies in Turkey.

Notably, the Company will continue to support scientific potential in the field of geology and mining industry and promote best practices and standards.
