AzerGold CJSC Has Held a Meeting on the Occasion of Victory Day

On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War, a meeting was held with war participants and martyr family members working for AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC).

The event started with playing the national anthem and a minute's silence in memory of our martyrs.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov congratulated the meeting participants on the occasion of Victory Day – the next anniversary of our historic victory and expressed his deep gratitude to the war participants and martyr families for their sacrifice.

The Chairman of the Board said that the military and political victory over the enemy became a logical result of the wise policy of the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Z. Ibrahimov noted that mighty Azerbaijani soldiers and our heroes who rose to the height of martyrdom had an invaluable share in winning this glorious victory. In this regard, he commemorated the CJSC employees Rauf Asgarov, Mukhtar Gasimli, and other martyrs who died in the Patriotic War, and paid deep respect to their dear memory.

At the meeting, it was stated that the Joint Stock Company had also implemented appropriate measures as a manifestation of the comprehensive attention and care shown by our state to the war participants and martyr family members. It was noted that the JSC employs people belonging to these categories according to their qualifications and professional skills. It was reported that the Joint Stock Company employed 10 participants of the 1st Karabakh War, 73 participants of the 2nd Karabakh War, and 15 martyr family members. In general, AzerGold, including its subsidiaries and contractors, has permanently employed about 300 war participants and martyr family members.

At the event, the CJSC employees who participated in the 1st and 2nd Karabakh Wars and martyr family members spoke about the significance of the victory won in the 44-day Patriotic War.

Then, an excursion to the Spoils of War Park was arranged for the event participants. During the excursion, the participants were informed of the Spoils of War Park and viewed military equipment and ammunition taken as spoils from the enemy in the Second Karabakh War. In the end, commemorative gifts were presented to the employees.
