AzerGold exceeds sales targets in I quarter of 2023

The sales performance of "AzerGold" Closed Joint Stock Company, which holds leading position among the state exporting entities, increased in the first quarter of 2023.
During this period, AzerGold faced a upward trend in the volumes of gold and silver sales in the international and domestic markets. Thus, the total sales indicators of precious metals were 8.3 thousand ounces of gold and 33.5 thousand ounces of silver, securing 27.9 million manat profit for the Company. Comparing to the same period of 2022, there is 14% and 79% rise in the sale figures of gold and silver, respectively, meaning 13.9% growth in the sales revenues.
Notably, the total figures include the export of 7.3 thousand ounces of gold, 20 thousand ounces of silver, the sale of 943 ounces of gold and 13.4 thousand ounces of silver in local markets. Compared to the same period of 2022, an increase of 15% and 7.6% was recorded in the export volumes of gold and silver, respectively. As a result of export operations in the first quarter, the funds attracted to the country's economy amounted to 24.1 million manats. This means 12.6% rise in export revenues compared to the same period of last year.
