AzerGold CJSC promoted potable water supply of Chovdar village

In order to improve potable water supply AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) realized repair and reconstruction of the existing spring in the remote village of Chovdar, Dashkasan region, within the framework of its corporate social responsibilities.

Khayyam Farzaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC, Chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, attended the opening ceremony of the spring, restored upon the request of the residents of the village near the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area. Mr Farzaliyev got acquainted with the work process, carried out with the participation of the villagers. During the event, the demands of the residents were considered and the current issues were discussed.

A new water line was built by AzerGold, a special tank was installed for collecting, settling and purifying the spring water, and the surroundings of the spring were cleaned up. The restored spring significantly contributed to the solution of the existing water problem in the village.

The project aims at making an additional contribution to the national developmental priorities of Azerbaijan and the global activity in ensuring the availability of potable water for everyone, which is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of UN. New springs have been built for the residents of Chaykend village and Shadakh settlement of Dashkasan region so far.
