AzerGold CJSC has successfully migrated its information systems and resources to the Government Cloud.
The Company’s core digital resources have been fully transferred to the Baku Data Centre, managed by AzInTelecom LLC – a subsidiary of the Azerbaijan Transport and Communications Holding (AZCON).
Thus, AzInTelecom LLC provided AzerGold CJSC with Virtual Server – IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and Backup – BaaS (Backup-as-a-Service) cloud services, which enabled the company to achieve high availability for its critical systems.
It should be noted that Mr Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed Decree No. 718 on June 3, 2019, on establishing the Government Cloud (G-cloud) and measures in the field of providing cloud services. In accordance with the Decree, the IT systems of state institutions are being partially or fully migrated to the Baku and Yevlakh Data Centres managed by AzInTelecom. This migration reduces current IT expenses of organizations while enhancing the performance of their data systems.
Consequently, migration allows updated cybersecurity, a stable and resilient IT infrastructure, high-quality services with rapid coordination, and 24/7 available monitoring services.
For your information, AzInTelecom LLC is the first organization in the South Caucasus to obtain the internationally recognized TIER III certification for cloud services.
