AzerGold CJSC has launched the next social initiative covering the Ganja-Dashkasan economic region where the Company operates.
As part of the project ‘Supporting the Economic Development of Martyr and War-Wounded Families,’ 15 women from the city of Ganja and the Dashkasan, Goygol, and Samukh regions have been involved in intensive training programs in the confectioner-pastry chef profession.
The project’s key objective is to provide care for the martyr and war-wounded family members, support their economic independence by expanding their social activities, and contribute to the establishment of an inclusive society.
Under the project, participants will receive theoretical and practical training by international-level confectionery experts. During the two-month intensive training, trainees will be provided with all necessary materials and equipment, and will acquire knowledge and skills in the respective professional field.
After the completion of the training programs, participants will pass the ‘Recognition of Informal and Unofficial Education’ exam of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and obtain the respective professional certificate.
As a final project stage, support will also be provided for the employment of trainees in the respective field or the arrangement of their individual entrepreneurship through partner companies involved in the training programs.
Let us recall that vulnerable population groups have been identified as one of the key target categories under AzerGold CJSC’s corporate social responsibility projects, and various projects aimed at improving their social welfare are being implemented.
Herewith, contributions are made to increase the employment of martyr and war-wounded family members. Currently, a total of 351 employees of AzerGold, its subsidiaries, and long-term contractors engaged in its activity belong to the said vulnerable category.
