AzerGold CJSC and the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children's Affairs Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

On February 29, 2024, the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children's Affairs and AzerGold CJSC signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
At the ceremony held at the State Committee, the joint document was signed by the Chairperson of the State Committee Bahar Muradova and the Chairman of the CJSC’s Board Zakir Ibrahimov.
The key goal of reaching a mutual agreement is gender equality, expanding women’s employment, promoting their active involvement in public life, supporting the education of girls from low-income families, integrating physically disabled people and their children into society, and implementing joint socially important measures in other appropriate fields.
Speaking before the ceremony, Bahar Muradova greeted the guests and expressed gratitude to AzerGold CJSC’s management for supporting the State Committee’s relevant initiative.
She also spoke about the State Committee’s activity and stressed that the scope of social projects is gradually expanding, and intensive cooperation is taking place with appropriate government bodies, business entities, and international and non-governmental organizations.
Drawing attention to the measures implemented as part of corporate social responsibility, the Chairperson of the Committee noted the importance of signing such documents to ensure systematic, result-oriented work in this field and properly identify the target groups. Speaking about the projects and measures to be implemented under the memorandum, the Chairperson stressed the importance of involving civil society in solving the problems faced by vulnerable groups who should benefit from the results of joint activity.
She expressed his belief that cooperation will further cover a wider spectrum.
Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, Zakir Ibrahimov noted that the Joint-Stock Company keeps in mind the sustainable development goals and contributes to the social policy of our state in the areas of its responsibility according to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals covering the period up to 2030, as well as Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socioeconomic Development. He reported implementing consistent and systematic projects to comprehensively support local communities, including development in the fields of employment, education, health, etc., in the regions of the Company’s production activity. Among these projects, the issues of women's employment, children's individual development, and integration of physically disabled people into social life take a special place.
Z. İbrahimov also expressed confidence that the establishment of partnership relations with the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children's Affairs would additionally contribute to further expanding and improving the efficiency of the Company’s activity in these fields.
