AzerGold celebrates National Salvation Day

AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company held the event on the occasion of June 15 – National Salvation Day of Azerbaijan people.

Chairman of the Executive Board Zakir Ibrahimov, First Deputy Chairman of National Assembly (Milli Majlis) Ali Huseynli and AzerGold’s staff participated at the event.

Z.Ibrahimov and A.Huseynli made speeches about the meaningful life, rich and all-round activities of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, his invaluable actions taken towards the protection and development of our statehood.

The Chairman pointed out that Heydar Aliyev, the great leader and founder of the modern Republic of Azerbaijan, devoted his life to his people and state. Zakir Ibrahimov also reminded about the deep socio-political and economic crisis of our newly independent state at the 90-ies of last century when Azerbaijan people, with the insistence, invited the prominent son of Azerbaijan to Baku to rescue the country from the threat of civil war and disintegration.

Noting that our people proudly celebrate this historic day as National Salvation Day, Ibrahimov emphasized the fact that socio-political stability was restored in a short period of time during the great leader's second leadership term, and the process of building a democratic, legal and secular state began. Underlining the consistent and systematic activity of this remarkable person as one of the greatest services to our state and people towards restoring our territorial integrity, Z.Ibrahimov also praised the glorious Karabakh victory achieved by the worthy successor of the national leader, President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, which should be regarded it as a logical consequence of this resolute policy.

Ali Huseynli, First Deputy Speaker of Milli Majlis noted that when national leader Heydar Aliyev came to power for the second time in Azerbaijan, he inherited the republic in a very difficult situation. Despite the extremely bad socio-political situation, the great leader, thanks to his wisdom and self-sacrifice, was able to save our state from the chaos and resolutely prevented the threat of losing our independence again. Speaking about national leader’s multifaceted activities in Azerbaijan towards state-building, improvement of the legislative framework, adoption of the constitution, army building, oil strategy, economic development and other fields. A.Huseynli added that the modern Azerbaijan established by the great leader was further developed by President Ilham Aliyev. He emphasized that our Republic was comprehensively strengthened and demonstrated its power to the whole world with the brilliant historical victory over the enemy during the Patriotic War.

The event also honored the memory of our martyrs, as well as Mukhtar Gasimli and Rauf Askerov, the heroic employees of AzerGold CJSC, who died during Patriotic War and screened a documentary film "Heydar Aliyev and the 44-day Glorious way of Victory" produced by Azerbaijan State Television.
