ANAS and “AzerGold” CJSC sign a memorandum on mining researches

The Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and “AzerGold” Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) will cooperate in the field of geology of ore deposits and mining researches. For this purpose, a memorandum has been signed between the parties – the president of ANAS, director of IGG Akif Alizadeh and the chairman of the Executive Board of the Joint-Stock Company Zakir Ibrahimov.
According to the memorandum, scientists and experts will conduct joint geological and geophysical studies of ore deposits located on the territory of Azerbaijan. The document envisages strengthening of business partnership in the field of scientific research, education and innovation, as well as the formation of human resources specialized in the mining industry. Mutual consultations and technical workshops, joint scientific-practical conferences and meetings will be arranged thereof.
The parties will unite their technical, financial and staff capacities and share the information gathered so far. The Memorandum reflects issues such as the use of human resources, material-technical base and analytical laboratories of the IGG by “AzerGold” CJSC, as well as Institute’s assistance in the training of young specialists for the Company. In addition, “AzerGold” CJSC considers establishing conditions for ANAS’s young scientists to carry out researches in exploration areas and mining enterprises.
