AzerGold CJSC focuses on environmental protection

During the past eight years environmental protection has been one of the priorities of AzerGold CJSC. Air, water and soil samples are regularly analyzed in extraction and production areas, and dust, noise and vibration tests are conducted in accordance with the environmental monitoring programme. The Company also organizes regular environmental campaigns to contribute to reforestation efforts and reduce the effects of climatic changes. More than 16 thousand trees and shrubs have been planted in the vicinities of the gold mines in Dashkasan and Goygol regions, efforts have been made to increase local bird and fish species, and the surroundings of the rivers and other water basins have been cleansed in the region until now.
